making backgrounds with spraypaint and doilys
i started making these spray painted backgrounds for my students; my form IV class is curating an exhibition on women artists (i´ll write more on that in my studio 409 blog soon) and these are backgrounds for their invites to the teachers. the paper was actually a large piece of thick brown paper first used as floor covering for spray painting during the students´art igcse exam. it had cool marks from them and i just added paper doily stencils and am now cutting them for the invites. i will post a photo of them when they´re done. i saved three pieces for me, and i know what i will do with them once i have time. i´ve liked making these so much i plan to make more on that same paper. i have no idea what its called but its thick and awesome. i need to get more spray paint!
